The Shore-hardness is a characteristic value for
material properties of Elastomers and plastics. It is specified in
the DIN 53505 and DIN EN ISO 868 standards. The
Shore-hardness-tester (or „Durometer“ ) consists of a
spring-loaded indenter, which elastic indentation is inversely
related to the Shore-hardness of the material. The scale is from 0
to 100. A high figure means a high hardness.
Plasticizer-free
Desmopan® can be obtained in a hardness range of 60 Shore A to 75
Shore D. |
