[Product properties]

Desmopan® and Texin® are thermoplastic polyurethanes from Bayer MaterialScience. Their properties qualify them as hugh-grade thermoplastic elastomers ( TPEs ) that bridge the gap between rubber and traditional thermoplastic materials.

The most important advantages are:

High abrasion resistance
High elasticity over the enrie hardness range
Excellent low-temperature impact strength
Flexibility over a wide temperature range
Freedom from plasticizers
Excellent resistance to oils, greases and many solvents
Good resistance to weathering and high-energy radiation
Pleasant tactile properties
Weldabble and bondable
Easy coloring
Easy recycling
Excellent rot resistance ( special grades )
