Farmers can now record the weight of big animals (like cows) too by using the SmartScale 300 from Gallagher. Repeated straightforward weight-checks and an appropriate evaluation are essential for establishing the correct amount of feed and the right feeding-method in relation to weight gain.

The front panel (colored gray) of the SmartScale 300 is made of the aliphatic Desmopan® W DP 85085A. This material is injected directly onto the PC-window (Makrolon®), giving a robust, watertight housing which will withstand even the harshest treatment in the field.

Aliphatic Desmopan® is particularly suitable for this application on account of its property combination, which includes lightfastness, impact strength and good chemical resistance.

These robust scales will stand up to all environmental influences in practical use in the field - including wind and bad weather.
